Napoli reportedly agree to pay Arsenal £4m for the permanent capture of Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina.

Napoli and Arsenal have reportedly agreed terms on a £4m deal for goalkeeper David Ospina.

The 30-year-old, who joined the Gunners in 2014, found opportunities increasingly hard to come by following the arrival of Petr Cech - and more recently Bernd Leno - and last summer requested to be sent out on loan.

The Colombian went on to spend the season in Naples, where he shared number one duties with Alex Meret and made 17 Serie A appearances.

Napoli's contract is believed to have the option to buy at the end of the season and, according to football.london, the Italian outfit have now agreed to pay the £4m fee required in order to sign him permanently.

The publication claims that the deal will be officially announced after the Copa America, where Ospina's side are third favourites to win.

The sale of Ospina is expected to boost Unai Emery's meagre £30m summer transfer kitty, as well as freeing up £40,000 a week on the Gunners wage bill.
