Hector Bellerin 'to make Arsenal return in September'

Hector Bellerin is reportedly ahead of his recovery schedule after undergoing knee surgery in January and is expected to return for Arsenal by September.

Hector Bellerin will reportedly return to action for Arsenal in September after suffering a cruciate ligament injury in his knee at the start of the year.

The full-back was stretchered off during Arsenal's 2-0 win over Chelsea on January 19 and underwent surgery in Spain, with the initial prognosis stating he would be out until mid-October.

Despite the severity of the injury, which also included damage to the meniscus, Bellerin is ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation process.

According to The Guardian, Bellerin is now working towards a return to action in time for Aston Villa's visit to the Emirates on September 22.

Rob Holding, who suffered a similar knee injury against Manchester United in December, is targeting a return to full training by the end of pre-season.

The Gunners arrived in the United States this week ahead of tour matches against Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Fiorentina and the Colorado Rapids.
