Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's Daily Transfer Roundup. The transfer window trudges on as excitement builds. Teams like Barcelona, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Arsenal and several others are far from being done and as such, we expect quite a few major deals to go over the line in the next few weeks.

Without further ado, let's take a look at the top transfer news, rumours and updates that made headlines on 16 June 2019.

Dani Ceballos on the verge of signing for Arsenal

Real Madrid have a surplus of quality midfielders and quite a few were expected to be offloaded in the summer to make way for new signings. Dani Ceballos is one among the many that reportedly do not fit into Zinedine Zidane's vision for the upcoming season.

On the other side of Europe, in England, we have Arsenal who have been window shopping in the transfer market owing to a severe lack of financial resources. They are looking to add more spine to their midfield that seems pretty weakened after Aaron Ramsey's departure.

Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan are also interested in signing Ceballos. However, the Real Madrid man wants to join Arsenal. If things go as per Unai Emery's plan, the Gunners will sign Ceballos on loan for the 2019-20 season.

Ceballos seems to have decided that the Premier League is the place to go and Unai Emery's insistence on roping him into North London has been one of the driving factors behind the midfielder's decision.

Zinedine Zidane, meanwhile, will rejoin the Real Madrid team after having to absent himself due to the death of his brother. As long as he gives the nod, Real Madrid will be willing to accept a loan offer with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Ceballos was mighty impressive for Spain in the U21 Euros and was declared the player of the tournament. He could prove to be an inspired signing that will also be happily welcomed by the Arsenal fanbase that has found good news hard to come by.

Arsenal bid for Kieran Tierney rejected because it was not at par with valuation

Arsenal have kept Scottish left-back Kieran Tierney on their radar and have been biding their time to make an offer. However, 2 of their offers for Tierney have been rejected by Celtic as confirmed by their manager Neil Lennon.

Lennon said,

"The club's valuation of Kieran has not been met and until then we don't have a discussion to make."

Arsenal, who are yet to make big moves this summer transfer window, are expected to return for Tierney with an improved offer. On the chances of that happening, Lennon said,

"I don't know what Arsenal's financial state is. I know what ours is and we are quite comfortable with the situation at the moment.
"There has been a second bid, the bid has been rejected and it's as you were."

Ravel Morrison returns to the Premier League with Sheffield United

Ravel Morrison is often remembered as an example of a player who did not make it big despite having otherworldly talent. However, the Manchester United academy product who used to be spoken of in the same breath as Paul Pogba is now making a return to the Premier League with Sheffield United.

Sheffield have signed Morrison on a one-year deal with the option to extend. Chris Wilder, Sheffield's manager said,

"Ravel is an undoubted talent and we are delighted that we have put together a deal that suits all parties. I've spoken to a number of people about him and it is clear that he has serious ability.
"We are getting a fantastic footballer with a tremendous pedigree and this is a great opportunity for Rav, we believe we can help him get back to the level he wants to be.
"He's done extremely well during his time with us and it was great to have him in Portugal. It wasn't about him coming and being on trial because we knew about his abilities. Taking him with us was basically getting to know him and what he's about, what makes him tick and how he integrates with the players. Trips like what we have been on are invaluable for that."

Victor Lindelof rules out Barcelona move

Victor Lindelof was arguably Manchester United's best defender in the 2018-19 season which was easily one of the worst seasons from a defensive point of view in the club's recent history. While Manchester United fans have been counting on the Swede to take his game to the next level in the upcoming season, he has also been linked with Barcelona.

Now, Lindelof has ruled out a move to Barcelona, claiming that he remains happy at Manchester United and committed to the cause. Speaking at a press conference in Perth, Lindelof said,

"I'm very, very happy to be a Manchester United player. I'm really looking forward to this season. I'm very excited for a new season to start. That's my answer, I'm very happy here.
“I always felt like a Manchester United player but last season was a better season for me, I performed better than I did in my first.
“I'm happy that people think that [I'm the best central defender at the club]. I'm just trying to do my best every day and that's what I work hard for every day to help the team and the club.”

Neymar will join Barcelona on 2 conditions

Neymar's relationship with PSG is growing increasingly strained
Neymar's relationship with PSG is growing increasingly strained

Neymar Jr. flew back to Paris to hold talks with the Paris Saint-Germain representatives in a bid to clear the air and ramp up his departure to Barcelona. After sitting down for a short meeting with PSG director Leonardo, Neymar was seen training alone at the PSG's Camp des Loges facilities.

Neymar is certain that Barcelona will come calling although Paris Saint-Germain are apprehensive about the Catalans coughing up enough money to prise him away from the club. If Barcelona fail to sign him, Neymar could face serious repercussions now in the mould of what happened with Adrien Rabiot once he refused to extend his contract.

But if Barcelona offer the right amount, PSG will sell. However, Neymar also wants the €43 million that Barcelona were supposed to pay him as loyalty bonus as per the contract he signed in 2016. There has been a legal dispute over this issue.

If these 2 conditions are fulfilled, Barcelona can have their man. Otherwise, they can turn around and walk away.
