Arsenal reportedly plan to accelerate their interest in appointing Jose Mourinho as manager if the club loses to Leicester City next weekend.

Arsenal will reportedly accelerate their interest in appointing Jose Mourinho as manager if the club loses to Leicester City next weekend.

Gunners boss Unai Emery has come under severe pressure following a defeat to Sheffield United along with home draws with Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Reports have stated that Mourinho dined with Arsenal head of football Raul Sanllehi last week as the North London side explore the possibility of removing Emery.

According to The Mirror, defeat to Leicester on Saturday would force the club to intensify their pursuit of the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager.

It is claimed that Mourinho, who has been out of work since being sacked by United in December 2018, wants to work in the Premier League.

The Portuguese manager has also been linked with taking over at both Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid so far this season.
