Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Arsenal

Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's FA Cup final with Arsenal.

Chelsea square off against Arsenal in Saturday's FA Cup final looking to end a solid domestic campaign with a piece of silverware.

Like their opponents, the Blues were underdogs to progress to this stage of the competition, but victories over Leicester City and Manchester United have put the West Londoners in contention for their ninth FA Cup trophy.

Frank Lampard's team head into the contest on the back of a 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in England's top flight, a result which earned the club a place in next season's Champions League.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the encounter at Wembley Stadium.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: August 8 (vs. Bayern Munich)

Although he would not have started, Loftus-Cheek has been dealt another fitness blow after suffering what is described as a minor injury this week. That has led to the academy graduate being ruled out of the contest.

Billy Gilmour

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

After suffering a significant knee injury against Crystal Palace earlier this month, Gilmour has been ruled out until the end of the autumn at the earliest.

Willian

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: August 1 (vs. Arsenal)

Willian was surprisingly left out against Wolves with an unspecified injury. Although the Brazilian is potentially heading for the exit door next week, Lampard has suggested that he has no issues with naming the long-serving playmaker in his squad.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no players suspended for the meeting with one of their biggest rivals.
