Arsecast Extra Episode 380 – 26.10.2020

Welcome to another Arsecast Extra, the Arsenal podcast, with myself and James from @gunnerblog.

On this episode, we look back on the 1-0 defeat to Leicester at the Emirates on Sunday evening. Arsenal can rue missed chances and an abysmal decision to chalk off an early goal, but the second half performance in particular left much to be desired. We chat about some individual performances, like Alex Lacazette, David Luiz, Dani Ceballos and Thomas Partey, as well as our lack of chance creation, and wonder is it down the rigid system in which Mikel Arteta expects his players to operate. It leads to a in-depth discussion about the manager, his preferences, what kind of football he wants to play and how it impacts performances. There’s also questions about young players looking a bit out in the cold at the moment, whether the honeymoon period is over for Arteta and loads more.

Remember, you can send us questions via which we’ll try and get to each week. Send them to either @arseblog or @Gunnerblog (or both) using the hashtag #arsecastextra. Best to send them Monday morning so they get noticed more easily.
