Interesting discussion about potential incoming players and the rise of the Spanish. We did have a Spanish contingent, of course, when Pedro was around but they all left around the same time for whatever reason to be replaced by a Dutch core. Is it not the case that there could be a certain bias towards the manager’s home country? We currently appear to have a disproportionate number of Aussies in the squad and the million to one outsider for the vacant coaching position, Arsene W, brought half of France to the men’s team during his tenure. I personally would love to see more American and Canadian players in the future. There are heaps of young talents coming through. We also shouldn’t forget about homegrown players. There is an increased quota for next season. I’m thinking Lucy Parker (former Arsenal girl) and Lucy Porter – both in their final years playing in the US college system.

I’m guessing that those who had the inspiration to choose Joe have gone so replacement is in the hands of the Club executives currently running the men’s team. Oh dear, few signs of inspiration there then.
