Saturday's Premier League predictions including Wolves vs. Arsenal

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Premier League fixtures, including Wolves vs. Arsenal.

Man City vs. Brentford (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Manchester City will return to the top of the Premier League table – albeit for a matter of hours – if they claim maximum points against Brentford at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

The Bees, meanwhile, are required to pull off an upset against the reigning top-flight champions if they wish to head into the World Cup break inside the top half of the table.

We say: Manchester City 3-0 Brentford

Man City came away with maximum points after dominating both encounters against Brentford last season, and the Citizens will be firm favourites to secure another victory at the Etihad this weekend.

The Bees have looked defensively vulnerable in recent away games and hopes of keeping a clean sheet against Guardiola's side are slim, especially if goal machine Haaland is back in action.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Bournemouth vs. Everton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Bournemouth and Everton meet for the second time this week at the Vitality Stadium, this time in the Premier League on Saturday, following the hosts' 4-1 win in the EFL Cup on Tuesday.

Frank Lampard will be starting to feel the pressure as his Everton side has now lost five of their last seven matches.

We say: Bournemouth 1-0 Everton

Everton seemingly have nobody capable of scoring a goal when given a chance, and out of the 17 ever-present PL sides from the start of the last season, none has picked up fewer points on the road than their 16.

The Vitality has often been an arduous trip for the Toffees' faithful too, as they have never seen their side win a Premier League game here.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Liverpool vs. Southampton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Nathan Jones faces a baptism of fire in his first game in charge of Southampton, who meet Liverpool at Anfield for Saturday's final round of Premier League matches before the World Cup.

Both sides progressed in the EFL Cup on penalties in midweek, with the Reds seeing off Derby County, while the Saints got the better of Sheffield Wednesday.

We say: Liverpool 2-0 Southampton

A change in manager is unlikely to count for much for Southampton at Anfield, with Liverpool set to enter the World Cup break on a high note as they recall all of their well-rested big-hitters.

Finding the back of the net away from home has not been Southampton's forte in recent weeks, and we can only envisage Klopp's crop storming to victory in front of their own fans.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Nott'm Forest vs. Crystal Palace (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Basement club Nottingham Forest will be looking to climb out of the Premier League relegation zone for the first time since early September when they welcome Crystal Palace to the City Ground on Saturday.

The Eagles, meanwhile, will be aiming to consolidate their place in the top half of the table with a second successive away victory.

We say: Nottingham Forest 1-2 Crystal Palace

A closely-fought contest is set to be played out on Saturday between two teams who will both fancy their chances of claiming maximum points.

Forest seem to have turned a corner at the City Ground, but we can envisage Crystal Palace heading into the World Cup break on a high with a slender victory.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Spurs vs. Leeds (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Aiming to avoid a third successive defeat in all tournaments before the World Cup break, Tottenham Hotspur welcome Leeds United to North London for Saturday's Premier League match.

The Lilywhites lost 2-0 to Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup on Wednesday, while their visitors also exited the competition at the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

We say: Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Leeds United

It may not be pretty, but with the returns of Kulusevski and Richarlison likely leading Conte to reverting to his tried-and-tested 3-4-3, the stage is set for Tottenham's rejigged attack to help their sde return to winning ways.

The Lilywhites are very rarely kept at bay in front of their own fans, and while Leeds deserve immense credit for the manner of their wins against Liverpool and Bournemouth, Marsch's side should ultimately fall short in North London.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

West Ham vs. Leicester (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two Premier League teams who experienced contrasting results in the EFL Cup in midweek will face off at the London Stadium when West Ham United play host to Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Hammers were beaten by Championship opposition on home soil a day after the Foxes cruised to a comfortable win against their fourth-tier counterparts.

We say: West Ham United 2-2 Leicester City

Each of the last seven meetings between these two sides have seen at least three goals scored, so plenty of goalmouth action is to be expected on Saturday.

While the momentum is with Leicester heading to the London Stadium, we can see West Ham securing at least a point from an entertaining contest in the capital.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Newcastle vs. Chelsea (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Chelsea will be bidding to bounce back from successive Premier League defeats when they travel to an in-form Newcastle United side in Saturday's late start.

A four-game winless run in the league has seen the Blues drop down into seventh spot in the table, but Newcastle are up in third, with the Magpies picking up 27 points from their opening 14 matches.

We say: Newcastle United 1-1 Chelsea

In previous seasons, we would be tipping Chelsea to win this, but it is so difficult to back against Newcastle at the moment, while the visitors will not enter this match in the best of form. Both managers would be relatively pleased with a point on Saturday, and we can see the spoils being shared at St James' Park.

Wolves vs. Arsenal (Saturday, 7.45pm)

Arsenal will look to ensure that they will enter the World Cup break at the top of the Premier League table when they meet Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Saturday.

The two sides endured contrasting fortunes in the EFL Cup in midweek, with the hosts overcoming Leeds United, while the Gunners went out at the hands of Brighton & Hove Albion.

We say: Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-2 Arsenal

Wolves will certainly be aware of the dangers of taking Arsenal's midweek result at face value, with the Gunners' second-string XI nowhere near as dominant as their first team has been this term, and a visiting side who quelled Chelsea with ease should have no issues returning to winning ways here.

The hosts are slowly but surely improving on the attacking front, but facing the league's joint-best defence with a host of well-rested big names should only end one way, as Arteta's side prepare to celebrate Christmas at the top of the league.
