Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli states that he is determined to win the Premier League title, with the Gunners currently five points clear at the top of the table.

Gabriel Martinelli has promised that Arsenal will attempt to win every game they play as they bid to win their first Premier League title since the 2003-04 season.

The Gunners head into the World Cup break as the Premier League leaders after winning 12 of their 14 matches this season.

Their only loss in the league came against Manchester United, while they are currently five points clear of reigning English champions Manchester City.

Martinelli has started all of Arsenal's Premier League games this season, scoring five goals and registering two assists, and the 21-year-old has acknowledged that the club should be targeting top spot.

He wrote in The Player's Tribune: "If you see us in training you'll understand why we're playing well, because even in a simple passing game nobody wants to lose.

"At home we haven't dropped a point yet, because the atmosphere this season is better than ever. The opponents are always feeling the pressure at the Emirates.

"We will continue to go for the win each game, because that is what this club should do. Arsenal is not about 'getting a point'.

"Arsenal is not about finishing fourth. Arsenal is about titles. The league. The Champions League. That's what the fans deserve."

The Brazilian currently has a contract with the Gunners until 2024, which also includes an option to extend by a further two years, but Arsenal are believed to be working on a new deal for the winger.

While Martinelli is targeting the Premier League title, he will be looking to help Brazil win their sixth World Cup after being selected in the 26-man squad for the upcoming tournament in Qatar.
