Image: Germany international wins second trophy since Arsenal exit

Turkish Cup winners Galatasaray beat rivals Super Lig champions Besiktas in the Super Cup on Sunday. The Lions beat Besiktas on a penalty shoot-out after regulation time ended 1-1. Galatasaray veteran Hakan Balta put his side ahead in the second half but had his goal cancelled out via an own-goal from teammate Chedjou. Former Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski started but had to be taken off at half-time for summer signing Eren Derdiyok. Podolski scored the winning goal against Fenerbahce in the Turkish Cup which got Galatasaray into the Super Cup.
