England national football team: Why Gareth Southgate's troops are Europe’s Invincibles

England can make it 38 games unbeaten in European Championship and World Cup qualifiers, when they face Slovenia at Wembley tonight, extending the best unblemished record in UEFA qualifying. The Three Lions will seal qualification for next summer's World Cup in Russia with a win at Wembley Stadium, and in the process can become the 'invincibles' of qualifying, by avoiding defeat in the same number of games played in a Premier League campaign.
