North London rivalry: When Tottenham were fined for fielding an Arsenal player

World War I had a huge impact on football in Britain, with some players enlisting to join the fight. As a result, clubs were on the lookout for guest players to pad out their depleted sides and take part in unofficial matches, but Tottenham got in trouble for fielding one player in particular, as Retro Football Blog explains.
