Ozil agent speaks out over Arsenal contract

Mesut Ozil's agent has said that contract negotiations with Arsenal are ‘going well' and hints that he may stay with the Gunners. The Sun claim that signing a new contract would be ‘a humiliating Arsenal climbdown' for the German, who turned down their £250,000-a-week contract offer in the summer. They say that Besiktas are the only club to show any real interest in Ozil, who reportedly asked Arsenal for wages of £330,000 a week. Manchester United are said to be Ozil's destination of choice, but Jose Mourinho is hardly lacking in attacking midfielders.
