Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils have been battling Manchester City for the Chilean’s signature but the Daily Star claim United have seen off competition to sign him. United will pay the Gunners £40m for Sanchez, who is out of contract in the summer, while Mkhitaryan will move to north London in the opposite direction. The Daily Star say United have offered Sanchez a long-term deal worth in excess of £300,000-a-week, plus a £35m signing on fee.
