Arsenal could make a sensational move to bring Alex Song back to the club after he started training with the squad again. Midfielder Song, 30, left Barcelona for Rubin Kazan in the summer of 2016 but has now been told he can leave the struggling Russian club for free. Arsene Wenger reluctantly sold Song to Barca at the peak of his powers in 2012. The Cameroon international is only 30 and the French coach is crying out for a defensive midfielder, so a deal is not out of the question if Song can prove his fitness. Arsenal could also wait until after the January transfer window deadline as Song will be available as an out of contract player.
