Transfer report: Liverpool end interest in Monaco winger Thomas Lemar, leaving Arsenal in pole position

Liverpool have ended their interest in Monaco forward Thomas Lemar, according to reports. The Reds were thought to be one of a host of European sides interested in the 22-year-old Frenchman ahead of the summer transfer window. Having sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in a staggering £142million deal in January, manager Jurgen Klopp is on the hunt for a replacement and was eyeing a move for young Frenchman Lemar.
