Giroud left the Emirates after five-and-a-half years at Arsenal in a £15million deal on deadline day. The 31-year-old had dropped down the pecking order at Arsenal following the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette in the summer and made just one Premier League for them this season. With Alvaro Morata out injured indefinitely, Giroud has an opportunity to lead the attack for Chelsea and could make his home debut against West Brom on Monday.  Giroud faces competition from the likes of Lacazette and Kevin Gameiro to start for France at the World Cup.
