Arsenal heading to Africa as part of next year's pre-season campaign?

Arsenal will head to Africa for the first time in 26 years as part of next summer's pre-season campaign, according to Ugandan sports minister Bosco Onyik. The Gunners, who last played a fixture in Africa in the days of Tony Adams, Paul Merson and Anders Limpar, are said to have agreed a deal in principle to travel to Uganda in 2019. Six years after previous talks to play in Nigeria broke down, sports chief Onyik has appeared to confirm that Arsenal will "play some matches" in Uganda ahead of the 2019-20 campaign. "We went to London last month on January 16th and had three meetings with management of Arsenal FC with the aim of partnering with them," he told Chinese news...
