Pep Guardiola: 'Raheem Sterling is much, much better'

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed that winger Raheem Sterling has made progress in recovering from a hamstring problem. Sterling was ruled out prior City's EFL Cup win over Arsenal due to the injury, but Guardiola has provided a positive update on the England international's fitness. "Raheem Sterling is much, much better. I don't know if he can play against Arsenal but hopefully Chelsea or Basel," the Spaniard told reporters at a press conference. Guardiola also confirmed that midfielder Fernandinho would miss Thursday's League tie with the Gunners after the Brazilian limped off six minutes into the second half at Wembley.
