Tottenham keeping close eye on in-demand £14m-rated star

Tottenham Hotspur joined Arsenal in sending scouts to watch Schalke midfielder Max Meyer in action over the weekend, according to Mundo Deportivo. What's the story? The 22-year-old has been linked to the Gunners for some time, but now it appears that Spurs have also taken a keen interest in the German talent. Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo claims that both North London outfits sent representatives to watch Meyer in Schalke's 1-0 victory over Hertha Berlin on Saturday. As well as the Premier League clubs, it is believed that scouts from Atletico Madrid and Barcelona were also in the ground to keep a close eye on the midfielder, who did not perform at his best level during the game....
