Massimiliano Allegri is willing to replace Arsene Wenger if the French manager leaves Arsenal this summer. Allegri, the Juventus head coach, is learning English and has ambitions to work in the Premier League. The Sun say he has ‘told pals he is keen on the Gunners job’, as long as Wenger leaves north London at the end of 2017/18. Wenger, under intense pressure following a string of dreadful results in the wake of the EFL Cup final defeat to Manchester City, has a contract that runs to summer 2019, and he has no plans to step down prior to that date.
