Arsenal and Manchester United target Dries Mertens is locked in talks with Napoli over a new deal. The Belgian has been in fine form again this season and he has 17 goals to his name so far in Serie A, as well as six assists. The 30-year-old is attracting interest from Arsenal and Manchester United due to the fact he has a release clause for foreign clubs of just 28m (£24.5m). Napoli are naturally desperate to remove or at least raise that figure and they are ready to offer Mertens a new contract do so.
