Real Madrid want Arsenal to take Karim Benzema off their hands
Real Madrid star Benzema has long been tipped to join Arsenal. The Gunners wanted the player back in the summer of 2009, when he was at Lyon, but the France international ended up moving to the Bernabeu instead. He has since stayed at Real Madrid for nine years but, having endured a difficult campaign, this may be his last season at the club. And Spanish website Diario Gol say Real Madrid have told Arsenal they can finally sign Benzema this summer. The player remains popular among the fans and club president Florentino Perez.
