New Arsenal manager 'given restricted £50m transfer budget'

Arsenal chiefs will reportedly restrict Arsene Wenger's managerial successor to a £50m budget in this summer's transfer window. The Gunners hope to bring in a new head coach soon after long-serving boss Wenger departs the Emirates Stadium in less than a month's time. According to The Telegraph, however, whoever takes over will have to work with a restricted allowance following two club-record transfers and three new major contracts in the past 12 months. Arsenal's hierarchy feel that the squad does not need major transforming, meaning only a couple of additions are likely ahead of 2018-19.
