Aubameyang thought Wenger would be at Arsenal 'for years'

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang admits he joined the club thinking Arsene Wenger would stay on as manager "for years". Wenger, who announced on April 20 that he would leave the club at the end of the season, saw out his 1,235th and final match in charge with a 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town on Sunday. Aubameyang, who scored the only goal at John Smith's Stadium, has enjoyed working under the 68-year-old and concedes he did not expect him to leave.
