It has been claimed that Arsenal have failed in a bid to sign Marouane Fellaini as the midfielder closes on a new contract at Manchester United (via Yahoo). It was a story which got Arsenal's summer transfer window off to the worst possible start. Many Gunners fans were hugely optimistic about the potential transfer business the club would do under new head coach Unai Emery but one of the first reported targets for Arsenal was Marouane Fellaini.
