Uruguay defender Diego Laxalt caught the eye of many Arsenal supporters on Saturday night after he helped his country through to the quarter-finals of the World Cup with a win over Portugal. Progressing after a 2-1 victory, Uruguay are now definitely in with a shout of winning the entire tournament after, with Laxalt clearly central to their ambitions moving forward. The Genoa left-back produced an excellent performance throughout the 90 minutes last night, showing the kind of defensive solidity that has been lacking at the Gunners in recent seasons.
