Plymouth loan Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Macey

Plymouth Argyle have completed the season-long loan signing of Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Macey. The League One outfit brought in Wolverhampton Wanderers stopper Harry Burgoyne earlier in the summer, but the youngster has sustained a broken ankle in training. That has resulted in a similar deal being agreed for Macey, who has been forced further down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium due to the arrival of Bernd Leno. Macey made two first-team outings for Arsenal last season, with his debut coming against Norwich City in the EFL Cup before a further appearance came against Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League.
