Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has reportedly put himself in contention for the club's Premier League opener with Manchester City. Ramsey had been considered a doubt for Sunday's fixture at the Emirates Stadium due to sustaining a calf injury during the latter stages of pre-season. However, according to the London Evening Standard, a return to training this week has resulted in the Wales international handing manager Unai Emery a fitness boost ahead of the visit of the top-flight champions.
