Report: Arsenal make approach for Juventus defender Medhi Benatia

Arsenal have reportedly made an approach to sign Moroccan defender Medhi Benatia from Juventus. The 31-year-old is out of favour at the Allianz Stadium after falling down the defensive pecking order, starting just five Serie A games this season. With the Gunners on the lookout for a new centre-back, Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that Benatia has been targeted.
