‘We die for the team and you saw that’

Ainsley Maitland-Niles made his return to the team on Sunday and played his part in a memorable 2-0 win over Manchester United. The 21-year-old started at right wing back and delivered an energetic performance, contributing at both ends of the field.  We spoke to Maitland-Niles after the final whistle - and this is what he said:  on the overall performance… It’s a fantastic result from the boys and I think everyone dug in as much as they could and we pulled through with a 2-0 win. on the pressure heading into the game… Yeah, of course [we knew how much was riding on it]. The manager spoke to us in the week and especially after our loss in midweek. We had to put things right today....
