Arsenal opinion: Is Djene Dakonam the answer to Arsenal’s defensive woes? According to a report from Football Espana, Arsenal are still keen on signing Getafe’s defensive rock Djene Dakonam in the summer. The Gunners were heavily linked with the Togolese centre-half in March when Unai Emery went to Spain to scout him. The report reveals that Djene has a release clause in his contract which makes him available for 35million in the summer but Getafe’s president Angel Torres has confirmed that the club would be willing to let him leave for a slightly lesser fee.
