World Cup: Miedema scores in quarter-final
We had a number of players in Women’s World Cup quarter-final action over the weekend. Scroll down to find out how they got on: Vivianne Miedema scored the crucial opening goal as the Netherlands reached their first-ever World Cup semi-final with a 2-0 win over Italy.
Our striker led the line, just in front of Danielle van de Donk, but was unable to get the better of Laura Giuliani during a goalless first half.
