WHAT HAPPENED Vivianne Miedema’s first-half strike saw us narrowly beat Liverpool 1-0 at Meadow Park. This was our seventh clean sheet in a row in all competitions and Leah Williamson and Jen Beattie marshalled our backline once again against the Reds. The visitors would have been ahead inside 10 minutes had it not have been for a superb save by Manuela Zinsberger, who tipped Sophie Bradley-Auckland’s goalbound header on to the post.
