So just a year after being snubbed for the managerial post at Arsenal, Mikel Arteta is once again one of the supposed front-runners for the job. The Gunners' decision to sack Unai Emery after a win-less run standing at seven games, has meant the club will now be looking to appoint their second manager since the departure of the iconic Arsene Wenger. And according to The Independent, Arteta leads a shortlist of candidates who are being lined up by the north London side to become their new permanent boss, with the likes of Carlo Ancelotti, Nuno Espirito Santo and Massimiliano Allegri also in the frame.
