Arsenal became the first side to win the FA Cup 12 times by annihilating Aston Villa 4-0 in this evening's final at Wembley. The Gunners dominated from the word go and took a deserved lead five minutes before the break through Theo Walcott. Alexis Sanchez doubled their lead with a swerving drive from 25 yards not long after the interval, with Per Mertesacker and Olivier Giroud adding further goals in the second half. With victory, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger becomes the first post-war manager to win the trophy on six occasions, while Villa miss out on an eighth title and first since 1957.
