Mikel Arteta keen to put own stamp on Arsenal ahead of Manchester City reunion

Mikel Arteta insists he cannot simply “copy and paste” the philosophy of Pep Guardiola onto his Arsenal side. The Gunners head coach Arteta will return to former club Manchester City for the first time on Wednesday night. The 37-year-old left the Etihad Stadium, where he was employed as Guardiola’s assistant, in December to replace Unai Emery in the Arsenal hot-seat. Signs of improvement have slowly surfaced and, following Saturday’s 1-0 win over West Ham, Arsenal currently boast the longest current unbeaten Premier League run. They have not won at City since 2015 but if Arteta can secure victory on his comeback, his side will close within two points of Manchester United in fifth....
