Premier League fixtures are to go ahead as planned, with no games played behind closed doors, despite fears over the spread of coronavirus. Sporting events and competitions across the globe have been either postponed or cancelled altogether as governments and organisations attempt to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. However, prime minister Boris Johnson confirmed on Thursday the British government would not yet be cancelling large-scale public events, though that is subject to change.
