Cedric Soares' Arsenal future up in the air with no contract extension agreed

Cedric Soares is yet to agree a short-term contract extension with Arsenal, which would see him remain in north London until the 2019/20 Premier League campaign is completed. The 28-year-old joined Mikel Arteta’s side on loan from Southampton in January, but injuries have prevented him from making his Gunners debut. After arriving with a knee a problem, the north London club expected Cedric, who has recently been training with a face mask, to spend around three weeks on the sidelines. However, the right-back’s recovery has proved slower than they were initially hoping - and now his future at the Emirates is up in the air.
