Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta gave an unusual answer when quizzed over Mateo Guendouzi's absence from this evening's game at Southampton. The Frenchman avoided a ban for grabbing Neal Maupay around the throat in the aftermath of the Gunners' 2-1 defeat to Brighton on Sunday. Guendouzi was a firm favourite of former boss Unai Emery but has been completely left out of Arteta's squad for tonight's trip to the South Coast, after another troubling incident.
