Arsenal sign defender Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille in £25million transfer
Arsenal have completed the signing of Gabriel Magalhaes. The 22-year-old defender joins from Lille for a fee of around £25million. It is a big signing for Mikel Arteta who has made a good impact on the Gunners since taking charge in December. Magalhaes' performances this season have attracted plenty of attention with even Manchester United tempted to enter the race for his signature late on. But the Gunners were the only real candidates for him and promptly got the deal over the line. The centre-back will partner one of William Saliba, Pablo Mari, David Luiz or Shkodran Mustafi at the back.
