Aston Villa have reportedly moved a step closer to signing Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez. Despite having starred for the Gunners since the middle of June, it was not enough for Martinez to remain ahead of Bernd Leno in the pecking order. That has led to widespread interest in his signature, including from Aston Villa who have been keen to bring in a new number one this summer. With Villa having already agreed to spend in the region of £16m on the Argentine, the Daily Mail claims that Martinez is happy to proceed with the move.
