Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar is open to joining Arsenal this summer in a major boost for Mikel Arteta. The Gunners manager wants to sign the Ligue 1 star to bolster his team in the middle of the park. Lucas Torreira is poised to leave the Emirates Stadium with talks over a loan to Torino ongoing, after which he should join the Serie A side permanently. Aouar would be a replacement for the Uruguayan and the 22-year-old is highly rated. Reports have suggested Arsenal are plotting a bid worth £36m with only a few weeks of the transfer window remaining.
