Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang says two factors influenced Arsenal contract decision

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has opened up on his decision to sign a new contract at Arsenal earlier this month. Aubameyang, 31, finally put pen to paper on an extension in north London after months of speculation, having entered the final year of his previous deal back in July. Reports suggested Barcelona and Real Madrid were interested in signing the Gabon international, who scored two braces in Arsenal’s FA Cup semi-final and final victories over Manchester City and Chelsea last season. But just over one week ago he finally extended his stay at the Emirates, putting an end to speculation over his future.
