Matteo Guendouzi joined Hertha Berlin after chat with Mesut Ozil and Bernd Leno
Matteo Guendouzi has revealed how Mesut Ozil and Bernd Leno pushed him to move to Germany. The 21-year-old France youth international had slipped down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal and therefore decided that he needed to leave to get regular game time. He has now revealed that he spoke to two team-mates before leaving the Emirates for the season, both have which have played plenty of football in the league he would arrive in. Both Ozil and Leno then gave him the push he needed to accept a deal to leave.
