Mikel Arteta warned being "Mr Firm" over Mesut Ozil could be a grave mistake

Mikel Arteta has been warned he could be making a mistake by being 'Mr Firm' and leaving Mesut Ozil out of his Arsenal plans. Ozil will be unable to play for the Gunners until January at the earliest after being omitted from Arteta's Premier League and Europa League squads. The former Germany international has been frozen out by the manager since March, with a perceived lack of work rate appearing to be the problem. But Arteta has been told that Ozil has 'never worked hard' throughout his career - and that what the midfielder brings doesn't depend on graft.
