Chris Sutton claims new Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang deal was worst summer signing

Former England striker Chris Sutton believes that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's contract extension at Arsenal was the worst bit of business over the summer. After months of speculation surrounding the Gabon international's future, Aubameyang put pen to paper on a new three-year deal at the Emirates Stadium despite reported interest from the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan. However, Aubameyang has failed to hit his usual heights since committing his future to Mikel Arteta's side, and Sutton has now labelled the 31-year-old's extension as the worst signing of the transfer window.
