Willian's Arsenal target now looks even more ludicrous as Gunners slip to 14th

Willian arrived at Arsenal with high expectations after leaving Chelsea upon the expiry of his contract in the summer. The Brazilian, who claimed two Premier League titles in his time at Stamford Bridge, put pen to paper on a three-year contract with Mikel Arteta’s side and immediately set his sights on winning the Champions League. He told The Sun after joining the Gunners: “One of the reasons I wanted a three-year deal was to be part of a plan, not just a player passing through. “When I talked with the manager he told me why he needed me for three years.
