William Saliba's transfer preference as Arsenal legend offers lifeline

William Saliba's transfer preference has been revealed as he weighs up his next move in January. Young defender Saliba was expected to become a first team regular this season after Arsenal opted not to loan him out again for the season. The Gunners sent the 19-year-old straight back to St-Etienne last summer after snapping him up for £27m. But in his first year actually in north London, Saliba has failed to make a senior appearance, suggesting he’s not quite ready yet. The Frenchman is expected to seal another loan move back to his homeland in January. And reports in France suggest there are two options for Saliba - St-Etienne or Nice.
