Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has defended the decision to play Alex Runar Runarsson in the Carabao Cup quarter-final. The summer signing endured a tough night, misjudging an early Manchester City cross, leading to a goal, before dropping a Riyad Mahrez free-kick into his own net in the second-half. Runarsson was also looking shaky with the ball at his feet throughout the 4-1 defeat at the Emirates.
